Doctor Strange’s visit is closer. Be welcome.

Doctor Strange,’ no love at the end of this one, follows the story of neurosurgeon Doctor Stephen Strange who, after a tragic car accident, learns the secrets of a hidden world of mysticism and alternate dimensions.

Benedict Cumberbatch stars in the screen adaptation of the Marvel Comic: “It’s very important for me to bring in a level of humour, that maybe needs a bit more work on in the script, or isn’t there in the script, and also wasn’t necessarily there in the comics. Yes, he takes himself seriously and we need that for the fall he suffers, which is major before his rise to becoming a superhero, but he’s got to take the audience on a ride. You’ve got to care about the guy – not just because he’s having all kinds of trauma inflicted on his mind and body, but also because he’s fun, he’s good company.”

Directed by Scott Derrickson the film also stars Tilda Swinton, Rachel McAdams and Mads Mikkelsen.

Benedict Cumberbatch: The dream came true … and succeeded.

Benedict Cumberbatch: The dream came true … and succeeded.

From August 5 to October 31, 2015 was the exact time when the brilliant British actor Benedict Cumberbatch became the Danish Prince that one day out of the hands inky and prodigious imagination of William Shakespeare and he called “Hamlet“.

Since then, with total deserving much is what has been said about this new theatrical version which caused great excitement even a year before its release, selling out all their tickets in a short time. Since then, with total deserving, much is what has been said about this new theatrical version which caused great excitement even a year before its release, selling out all their tickets in a short time. They expected great things from it and especially of its principal actor who dreamed of playing this character throughout his life. A dream comes true for him and for all the lucky ones who could see him, along with an exceptional cast at the Barbican Theatre.

I must admit that I was one of those privileged to have the opportunity to see and experience, as always when I go to London theatre was unique, intense and magical. All the good things have been said about this version is deserved. I found a display of talent of actors and actresses on stage.

For me the theater is or should be that place where man meets the actor and the actor with the man. A mixture which must be perfect to be able to transmit to the audience every feeling on it. And Benedict Cumberbatch gets it and no doubt. He leaves the skin, sweat, laughter and even tears in a vibrant adaptation which’s what made him to get Best Actor in a Play in WhatsOnStage Awards of this year. Also Benedict Cumberbatch’s Hamlet has received four Oliver Award nominations, including best actor for his portrayal of the Shakespearean prince Hamlet.

This has been a perfect excuse to remember that moment at the Barbican Theatre … watching as the curtain rises and find a Hamlet listening to the song of Nat King Cole: Nature Boy playing on an old record player.

Go Behind TIME’s Benedict Cumberbatch Cover With Photographer Dan Winters

Go Behind TIME’s Benedict Cumberbatch Cover With Photographer Dan Winters

Ahead of the release of Benedict Cumberbatch’s latest film, The Imitation Game, the London-born actor posed for photographer Dan Winters, who produced this week’s TIME cover.

When Benedict Cumberbatch walked onto Dan Winters’ set for his TIME cover shoot, he came prepared. “Our stylist had found clothes for him to wear,” says Winters, “clothes that would match his character, Alan Turing, in The Imitation Game. But he showed up with a cool, modern, retro version of what he wore in the film — something, he told me, he thought Turing would have worn if alive today. He had done his homework, and we used that in the shoot.”

When TIME’s director of photography, Kira Pollack, assigned Winters to this shoot, she was looking to capitalize on the photographer’s particular style and process. “There are very few photographers who have as distinct a signature as Dan Winters,” she says…

It’s a fact: #SherlockLives

tumblr_mwqp78dYyK1r3cc8ko1_500It’s a fact: #SherlockLives. The most famous detective in literature is more alive than ever. This charismatic character and his inseparable friend Dr. Watson are assured success wherever they go thanks to the boundless imagination of its creator, the writer Arthur Conan Doyle. If we add to this the undeniable and overflowing talents of Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman can only expect an exceptional result.

Sherlock: Season 3 has begun. “The Empty Hearse” is the first episode which is brilliantly written by Mark Gatiss. In it we will meet again with everything we expected of this serie and its characters and…  much more.

Brilliant. Always new and fresh. A luxury of television of our time.

Returning to 221b Baker Street.

Sherlock is back.
